Byron Pope joined ChampionX in 2020 as Vice President, ESG and Investor Relations after having spent more than 25 years primarily focused on the global energy sector as a research analyst, portfolio manager and investment banker. He leads the company’s ESG efforts and is the principal contact for ChampionX investors and the broader financial community. He joined ChampionX from Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (TPH), where he was a Managing Director, Co-Head of Research, a member of the firm’s leadership council and the management committee of its parent company, Perella Weinberg Partners. Prior to TPH, Byron’s experience included time spent as a portfolio manager and buy-side energy analyst, and as an investment banker covering the oilfield services and equipment industry. Byron earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard University, and he is a CFA Charterholder.
