Maggie Seeliger is Global Head/SVP of Strategy for Sodexo Energy & Resources. Maggie brings two decades of strategy, operations, business development and marketing expertise in energy and mining.
Maggie pioneered the use of predictive analytics in corporate strategy based on ground-breaking research proving the link between client satisfaction and profit, revenue, retention and sales. Maggie drove the turnaround of an unprofitable midstream division and more than $100M in higher-margin revenue for a global services company.
Maggie has a deep understanding of oil and gas, renewables, power and mining segments. She is an expert in the technical and economic impacts of the energy transition and active in the climate tech community in Houston. Maggie is passionate about the leading role oil and gas has in driving innovation to decarbonize all forms of energy.
Prior to Sodexo she held senior positions at KBR, Halliburton and SNC-Lavalin in international roles encompassing all major energy markets, with emphasis on North America, UK, Asia Pacific and Middle East.
Maggie currently serves on boards for National Charity League, focused on fulfilling volunteer needs at more than 20 Houston charities, and the American Cancer Society VICTORY branch, the largest contributor to cancer fundraising in the US. Maggie founded the inaugural Society of Petroleum Engineers Global D&I Board Committee, which now includes more than 500 members in 30 countries.
Previously she served in various board roles for American Marketing Association Houston, including president, for which she won AMA’s National Chapter of the Year award for highest membership growth, retention, voluntarism, satisfaction and income in history of the AMA. She also served on boards for Ellevate Network’s inaugural Middle East chapter, Women’s Energy Network, and United Way of Houston. Maggie also was nominated for McKinsey & Co.’s Advancing Women in Energy in its founding year.
Maggie has an MBA (honors) from The University of Texas - Dallas, and BA in Secondary Education and English from The University of Iowa. She and her husband, Tyson, live in Houston, Texas with their two children, Anabelle and Brody.
